San Francisco Pride 2026 was an unforgettable experience for everyone at the LLTA. Ms. Bob was so delighted to be honored as a Community Grand Marshal, she was grinning from earring to earring all month! Pride started with the spectacular Built This City SF Pride Variety Spectacular produced and hosted by Peaches Christ with Honey Mahagony. The show was a tribute to 50 years of San Francisco Queer History, with musical performances from many performers celebrating the Compton’s Cafeteria Riot, Doris Fish and Vegas In Space, the Cockettes, and more. Ms. Bob was introduced onstage and thanked for her 50 years of work preserving, studying, and sharing trans history. She attended the discussion at the Commonwealth Club with trans actress and activist Cox, whome she met afterwards and got her memoir signed. Ms. Bob also attended and spoke at the SF Pride Human Rights Summit. Finally, the big day arrived and our small but mighty LLTA parade contingent followed her Grand Marshal car down Market Street in the SF Pride Parade. We were joined by our friends from the Solano Pride Center, trans journalist and founder of Trans Day of Remembrance Gwen Smith, and Rev. Dr. Megan Rohrer, author of San Francisco’s Transgender District, who is doing incredible work with trans history. Finally, Ms. Bob joined the other Grand Marshals onstage at the Asian Art Museum VIP Party to wrap up a wonderful pride. Thank you all for the support and thank you San Francisco Pride!
