The are 15 images of the tall crossdresser on the left in the Louise Lawrence Transgender Archive. Most are interior shots with her modeling a variety of outfits suggesting the roaring 1920’s. Four are exterior shots: one of the tall girl, two of the shorter and this one of them together. And these photos may be evidence that we’re seeing transgender ancestors. A photo collection featuring one person cross-dressing in multiple images, in outfits, shot on multiple occasions can mean little else. And in this photo there’s even the hint of community, of knowing that you’re not alone.
