This photo of a blue Saab is from the late 1980s. The expiration date on the blue sticker in the upper right of the license late says 87, meaning 1987. Back then “TV” meant television to most people, but to some it meant “transvestite,” a medical term for cross-dresser. If it’s “transvestite” on this license plate, it means that 30 years ago someone living in California was comfortable enough with that label to advertise it.
